NFL London 2009 Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots

On Sunday 25th October 2009, Wembley Stadium played host to its third International Series game when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was the home teams and played host to the New England Patriots.

Following the Wembley game 12 months previosuly, which saw the New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers battle it out in a 69 point thriller, expectations of fans had been raised and whilst New England didn't disappoint with their performance, the same could not be said about Tampa Bay with the Patriots running out easy 35 - 7 winners in a game that was as one sided as the scoreline suggests.

Patriots Quarterback, Tom Brady, was at his best to guide his team to an easy win, with the three times Superbowl winner passing for 308 yarda and three touchdowns in the game. Wes Welker, Sam Aiken and Benjamin Watson where the men to receive the passes from Brady and get in to the endzone whilst Running Back, Laurence Maroney, added the other six points on the ground.

A 33 yard touchdown pass from Josh Johnson to Antonio Bryant was the only highlight of the game for Buccs fans, who also got to cheer two interceptions from their team but overall, the Patriots dominated this game.
