NFL International Series - Three Games head to London in 2014
The NFL has announced that in 2014, Wembley Stadium will host three regular season NFL games! If fans of American Football in Europe thought they had it good in 2013, then it's going to get better with Jacksonville coming over once again as part of their agreement to play four games at Wembley through to 2016 together with the Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, the games are as follows:
Jacksonville Jaguars v Dallas Cowboys
Atlanta Falcons v Detroit Lions
Oakland Raiders v Miami Dolphins
Dates for these three fixtures have yet to be confirmed.
NFL UK Dates Confirmed Until 2016 with Jaguars named the home team
Following the continued success of playing a regular season NFL game in London, it has been confirmed that at least one game will be played at Wembley every season until 2016!
It was announced in August 2012 that from 2013, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be the home team for the International Series.
The Jaguars will head to Wembley in October 2013 to play their first game where they will play host to the San Francisco 49ers, who last played at Wembley in 2010.
Minnesota Vikings Announced As Team To host second Wembley game in 2013 v Pittsburgh Steelers
After being talked about for some time, the NFL announced that a second regular season game will be played at Wembley Stadium during the 2013 season. It has been announced that the Minnesota Vikings will be the home team and they will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday 29th September 2013.
With the popularity of American Football in the UK and Europe bigger than ever before, demand for tickets has surpassed all expectations with over half a million people having applied for tickets for the previous games.
